Meet the Doctor

Dr JohnsonDr. Matthew Johnson 

Dr. Johnson earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Cleveland State University and his doctorate dental degree from The Ohio State University as a cum laude honors graduate before earning his specialized post-graduate certification in orthodontics, as well as a master’s degree, from Case Western Reserve University.

While studying dentistry at The Ohio State University, Dr. Johnson participated in cutting-edge biochemical orthodontic research and received The Ohio State University College of Dentistry Research Activity Award.

Dr. Johnson is a member of the following professional organizations:

Dr. Johnson enjoys and is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in orthodontic techniques. He regularly attends the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Meetings to remain informed of new technologies and methods that are developing nationally and around the world and also for continuing education courses. He attends local seminars and symposiums on the latest topics in orthodontics, such as Invisalign®, orthodontic anchorage implants (TADs), and orthodontic clinical techniques several times a year.

Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family: wife, Carmela; son, Christopher; and daughter, Jennifer. He enjoys doing cardio and exercising. He likes surfing at various destinations around Florida, the Coastal United States and other international locations. His favorite pastime is participating in family activities and traveling together.

Dr. Johnson is committed to the local community and is supportive through sponsorship of youth athletic teams, such as Little League and travel ball teams. He supports local school publications and extracurricular activities.
